We're Now Running Midnight Investigations at the Jennie Wade House & Orphanage
September 19, 2026 · Pharos Paranormal Society
We’ve got news we’re genuinely excited to share: Pharos Paranormal Society is now officially running the Midnight Investigations of the Jennie Wade House & Orphanage, presented by Ghostly Images of Gettysburg.
This is one of the most storied addresses in Gettysburg. The Jennie Wade House is where Mary Virginia “Jennie” Wade — the only civilian killed during the Battle of Gettysburg — was struck by a stray bullet while baking bread for Union soldiers on July 3, 1863. The house and the neighboring orphanage have carried a reputation for unexplained activity for generations, and they’ve been a fixture of the town’s ghost-tour history for just as long. Running the midnight investigations there means our full team gets to spend real time with a location that’s been part of the public imagination around Gettysburg for over a century.
What to expect
These are overnight, hands-on investigations, not a walking tour. Our full team — Adam, Angela, Jenny, Nicole, Sam, and Travis — will be on-site running the same methods we use everywhere else: EMF and thermal monitoring, EVP sessions, historical research pulled directly from the house’s records, and honest documentation of what we do and don’t find. If something doesn’t hold up to scrutiny, we say so. If something does, we show our work.
How to book
Spots are limited to keep the investigation manageable for the group in the house. Reserve yours through our Facebook events page, and check there for the current schedule, pricing, and start times.
We’ll be sharing what we find as these investigations get underway. If you’ve been on one of the site’s ghost tours before, or you have your own history with the house, we’d love to hear about it — send it our way.
